electric hoist chain block
Use this page to close open choices on an electric hoist chain block before requesting factory quotes. Rated load, lift height, voltage and duty class must be written with units. This is not a compliance certificate and not a sustainability statement.
Choices that are still open until you write them
| Decision | Buyer writes | Why factories need it | Common substitute risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rated capacity | lb or kg at a stated load center | Nameplate and application load can differ | A higher nameplate with a shorter lift is not the same hoist |
| Lift height | in or mm, plus hook-to-hook if headroom is tight | Chain length and body style change | A low-headroom body quoted as standard |
| Power supply | V, phase and Hz, or confirm the unit is not electric | Motor and control enclosure change | 115V single-phase offered against a 460V three-phase brief |
| Duty cycle | Lifts per hour and expected run time | Motor and brake sizing | A light-duty frame priced as production duty |
| Suspension | Hook mount, lug or trolley | Interface and extras on the kit line | Trolley silently omitted |
Powered or manual equipment is chosen from duty, lifts per hour and available power, not from a universal ranking. If the lift is manual, do not copy voltage into the line just to fill a cell. Continue with a chain block and lever hoist option when both forms remain open.
Verify these items before accepting an alternative
- Capacity basis and load center match the application, not only the nameplate.
- Lift height and headroom are stated in the same units on every reply.
- Voltage, phase and frequency match the plant feed, or the offer is rejected.
- Duty cycle is written; a cheaper motor is not automatically acceptable.
- Trolley, chain container and spare chain are listed or explicitly excluded.
- Freight, anchors and commissioning remain outside unless the RFQ included them.
- Nameplate photo, load-test record and wiring diagram are requested after a match.
- Destination packing and any buyer-named certificate sit on the comparison sheet.
